Manufacturing · Tile Manufacturer Management Software

One system for press, glaze, kiln, sorting and shade-matched pallets.

Manage tile body and glaze recipes, press runs, dryer and glaze line output, kiln firing lots, sorting by grade, boxing, pallets and dealer orders in one system. Every box carries its design, size, grade and shade lot. Planners, line supervisors, sorting staff and the sales desk see the same stock of matching tiles, not a total that hides the shade.

  • Tile sizes, designs and grades entered as your plant sorts them
  • Dealer list, open orders and stock by shade migrated
  • Changes to designs and grade rules made by GullySystem staff when asked

Tile manufacturers run recipes, press runs, glaze lines, kiln firing lots, sorting and pallets on Tile Manufacturer Management Software from GullySystem. Every box carries its design, size, grade and shade lot. Dealers receive matching stock, and the plant reads yield from press to pallet.

Where it breaks today

What goes wrong before the software.

Shade is a visual judgement

A tile from last month’s firing and one from today look alike in the stack and different on a wall. Without a lot shade code, reorders mismatch.

Grade counts do not add up

Sorting produces premium, standard and commercial grade boxes. The sum seldom equals what the kiln delivered, and the gap is written off as waste.

Defects are not tied to a stage

Pinholes, edge chips, warpage and crazing arise at different points. A defect with no stage record cannot be fixed at the cause.

Die and screen changes are not planned

A size change needs a die, a digital design needs a file, and a glaze change needs a clean-down. The plan assumes none of that.

Raw material lots are mixed

Clay, feldspar, frit and pigment arrive in lots that behave differently. Nothing links the lot in the mill to the lot in the kiln.

Dealer stock shows a total, not a shade

Sales staff see boxes in stock. They cannot see how many belong to one shade, so a large order is filled from two.

How it runs

How the work flows through it, step by step.

  1. 1

    Order and plan

Dealer orders and stock targets set the plan for sizes and designs. The planner schedules pressing and checks that dies, screens and glaze are ready.

  2. 2

    Body preparation

Raw materials are issued to the ball mill and spray dryer against the recipe. The lot of each material is recorded with the batch.

  3. 3

    Press, dry and glaze

Press output is counted by size and die. Dryer, glaze weight and print files are logged, and breakage is noted at each stage.

  4. 4

    Kiln firing

Tiles are fired in lots with a kiln profile and a shade code. The lot number follows the tiles out of the kiln.

  5. 5

    Sorting and packing

The sorting line grades tiles for surface, size and shade. Boxes and pallets are labelled with design, grade and shade lot.

  6. 6

    Dispatch and billing

A pallet of one shade is reserved for the dealer order, loaded and delivered with a lot list. Billing comes straight off the dispatched pallets.

Modules

What is inside.

Every module can be switched on, left out or changed to match how your team already works.

Dealer orders and price lists

Hold dealer orders by design, size and shade requirement, with price lists by grade and the scheme agreed for each dealer.

Body and glaze recipes

Store each body mix, glaze and engobe formula, with the material lots used in each batch for traceability.

Raw material and frit stock

Track clay, feldspar, frit, pigments and packing material received and issued, with reorder levels for each.

Press and die log

Record press runs by size, die and shift with green tile counts, and log die wear and replacement.

Glaze line and digital print

Note glaze weight, print file and screen used per run, and record defects found at glaze and print.

Kiln firing lots

Number every firing lot with its kiln, profile and shade code, and keep the tiles that went through linked to it.

Sorting, grading and yield

Enter premium, standard and rejected counts per lot, and compare against green tiles pressed to show where tiles were lost.

Box and pallet labels

Print box and pallet labels with design, size, grade, shade lot and count, ready for a scanner at dispatch.

Shade-wise stock and reservation

Show stock by design, size, grade and shade, and reserve a single shade for one order so the dealer receives matching boxes.

Breakage and claims

Log breakage reported by a dealer against the pallet and lot, and trace the claim to the stage where such defects arise.

Solutions inside

The business modules it is built from.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

  • Order Management

Dealer orders hold design, size and shade needs, and the price list by grade fixes the rate when the order is confirmed.

  • Bill of Materials

Each body, glaze and engobe formula is stored with versions, so a fired lot can be traced to the recipe it used.

  • Stock Tracking and Alerts

Clay, frit and pigment receipts and issues are tracked, and a reorder level warns before the mill is short of a material.

  • Batch and Serial Tracking

Each firing lot carries a number, a kiln profile and a shade code, and the tiles are traceable to it through dispatch.

  • Quality Control

Sorting counts premium, standard and rejected tiles per lot and shows the defects found, set against the tiles pressed.

  • Barcodes and Labels

Box and pallet labels print design, size, grade and shade lot as a code, so scanners confirm matching stock at dispatch.

  • Warehouse Management

Pallets are held by bay with their shade, and a dealer order can reserve boxes from a single lot.

  • Sales Returns and Credit Notes

A dealer’s breakage claim is logged against the pallet and lot, and credit follows once the claim is accepted.

Services

How we would put it in.

Setup, data migration, integrations and anything built on top.

Who uses it

One system, each person sees their part.

For owners

Read yield from press to pallet, stock by shade, dealer dues and fuel or gas use against tiles fired, without asking each line.

For line supervisors

Record press, glaze and kiln output by shift. Mark the stage where each defect appears.

For sorting and packing staff

Enter grade counts per lot, print the labels and confirm pallet counts before the pallet is stored.

For the sales desk

Check stock in a single shade before promising a dealer, reserve it and confirm the delivery date.

For store and dispatch

Scan pallets onto a truck and send the delivery note with the lot list.

Reports

The numbers the owner asks for.

  • Tiles pressed, fired and sorted by size and line
  • Yield by grade for each firing lot
  • Defects by stage and cause
  • Stock by design, size, grade and shade
  • Raw material and frit use against recipe
  • Dealer orders, deliveries and claims
  • Dealer dues by age
Good fit

Who this is built for.

  • Ceramic wall and floor tile plants
  • Porcelain and vitrified tile makers
  • Plants with polishing and edge rectifying lines
  • Factories that print designs digitally
  • Makers who sell through dealers and showrooms
  • Plants that also trade in tiles from other makers
Honest answer

When it is not the right choice.

Made to fit

Adapted to your business before it goes live.

You are not handed a login and left to it. The product is set up around your records, your people and the tools you already use.

Tile ranges and grades

Sizes, designs, surfaces and your own grade names are entered as the sorting line uses them.

Shade rules

The shade code format and the limits on mixing lots within one pallet come from your sorting supervisor.

Process steps

Polishing, rectifying or digital print steps are switched on only for the lines that have them.

Opening stock brought across

Stock by design and shade is counted and loaded before the first live pallet label.

Currency and tax

Prices, currency and tax lines on dealer invoices follow the rules of each country you sell into.

Common questions

Questions owners ask before a demo.

How does it keep shades apart?

Every firing lot gets a shade code, and the code is printed on each box and pallet. Stock is shown by shade, so a dealer’s order can be filled from one lot.

Can we compare yield by kiln or by line?

Yes. Output is recorded per lot with its kiln and line, and yield is shown as graded tiles against green tiles pressed. A weak kiln stands out.

Where are defects recorded?

At the stage where the inspector sees them: press, dryer, glaze, kiln or sorting. The report then ranks defects by stage, so effort goes to the right place.

Do we need scanners for pallets?

Not to start. Labels carry a code that can be keyed in. Handheld scanners speed dispatch, and they are added when the plant is ready.

Can dealers see their own orders?

Yes, if you choose to open it. A dealer view lists the order, delivery status and balance, and you decide which dealers get one.

How do traded tiles from other makers fit in?

They are separate items with their own purchase lots and shade codes, so they never share a pallet with your own production.

Can recipes be changed safely?

Yes. A change creates a dated version of the recipe, and lots already fired keep the version they used, so old claims stay traceable.

How is it priced and shown?

Price follows the lines you run and the people who log in. We start by showing the system on your own tile sizes, then send a quotation.

Can we take our data away later?

Yes. Lots, stock and order history export to spreadsheets, and you choose the columns before the first export is produced.
