Attendance by Batch for Tuition Centres
Attendance is marked for one batch sitting at a time, by the faculty member taking it. The records then answer who is slipping and who has quietly stopped attending.
Marking a sitting
The teacher opens the sitting from the day’s timetable and marks the students allotted to that batch. Nothing is written on paper.
Reading attendance back
Attendance is only useful once someone reads it. A batch view shows the strength present in each sitting over the month. A student view shows absences subject by subject, which often explains a weak test score. Students below the attendance the centre expects are listed for the office to call. Students absent for several sittings in a row are listed separately, since that pattern usually means the parent has stopped sending the student.
Who uses it
What the client decides
- The attendance level below which a student is listed for a call
- Whether absence notes go to parents daily, weekly or not at all
- How long a teacher may go back and correct a marked sitting
- Whether a gate device replaces marking in the batch or sits beside it
Frequently asked questions
Can attendance be marked without a computer in the room?
Yes. The faculty member marks the sitting from a phone, and the record reaches the office at once.
Does a student in four batches get marked four times?
Yes. Each subject sitting is marked on its own, which is how a parent learns that only one subject is being skipped.
Will a biometric device work with it?
Often. It turns on the make and model of the device, so yours is checked during scoping before anything is promised.
Can a wrongly marked absence be fixed?
Yes, within the window the centre sets. The correction keeps the earlier entry along with who changed it.
