Goa’s villas, shacks and pharma plants run on seasons and audits. We build the systems behind them.
Goa’s hotels, villa owners and beach shacks live by the tourist season, while pharma and engineering units in Verna and Kundaim live by batch records and audits. GullySystem builds booking, batch and billing software that joins up their Excel sheets, Tally and WhatsApp groups, starting with a free technology audit that the team runs from Bengaluru.
From October to May, the coast from Morjim to Palolem fills with visitors, and hotels, villas, shacks and rental firms earn most of the year’s money. Then the monsoon shuts the shacks, and whatever system lived in one manager’s head is forgotten until the next season.
Away from the beaches, the industrial estates at Verna, Kundaim, Corlim and Cuncolim hold pharmaceutical and engineering plants. The Mormugao port, the Margao and Mapusa markets, and the cashew factories around Ponda keep the rest of the state working through the monsoon.
What Goa makes, trades and runs on.
North Goa coast
Hotels, villas, shacks and scooter rentals in Calangute, Baga, Candolim, Anjuna and Morjim. They run on booking platforms, WhatsApp enquiries and seasonal staff who change every year.
South Goa coast
Resorts and homestays in Colva, Benaulim and Palolem, many owned by families working abroad and run day to day by a caretaker with a notebook.
Verna, Kundaim and Corlim industrial estates
Pharmaceutical and engineering plants working on GMP batch records, customer audits and contract manufacturing orders from head offices in Mumbai and elsewhere.
Mormugao port and Vasco
Shipping agents, ship repair yards and transport firms working to vessel dates, with job files and invoices tied to each call.
Margao, Mapusa and Ponda
Wholesale and retail trade, the Friday market in Mapusa, and cashew processors in the Ponda belt that buy raw nuts, grade kernels and sell under their own labels.
How Goa businesses pick and use software.
Many Goan property owners live in the Gulf, the UK or on ships, and run the house through a caretaker and a family WhatsApp group. They want to see bookings and cash from abroad, and they trust the software a cousin already uses.
Front desks and shack counters work in Konkani, English and Hindi, and a good part of the seasonal staff comes from other states each October. Anything used at the counter has to be learnable in a day.
Pharma units in Verna follow their parent company’s IT policy. A software decision there involves the plant head, quality assurance and someone at head office, and validation paperwork matters as much as the screens.
Where Goa businesses lose time and money.
The season starts before our system is ready
Owners think about software in September, weeks before the first full weekend. Anything new has to be simple, tested and live before the rush, not installed during it.
One villa, four platforms, two bookings
Villas listed on several platforms plus direct WhatsApp enquiries get double-booked when the caretaker blocks one calendar and forgets another.
Every October the shack starts from zero
Shacks reopen with new staff, a new menu and renewed licences, and last season’s sales and supplier dues are in a notebook that may not have survived the monsoon.
An audit stops the plant for days
Contract manufacturers keep batch files on paper and in PDFs across shared folders. When a customer audit is announced, the QA team stops everything else to assemble them.

Do you have an office in Goa?
No. Our only office is in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. Goa work runs on calls, screen-shares and WhatsApp, and the team travels for a kick-off, go-live or staff training when that helps and the trip is agreed with you first.
Can owners abroad see bookings and cash as they happen?
Yes. An owner view shows bookings, check-ins, payments, caretaker expenses and pending dues on the phone, wherever the owner lives. The caretaker enters expenses with a photo of the bill.
Should a small homestay build custom software?
Usually not. A good booking platform and a simple accounting setup are often enough for a few rooms. Custom work starts to make sense for groups of villas, hotels with a restaurant, or owners whose caretaker arrangement keeps breaking.
What happens in the free technology audit?
We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.
How much will the software cost?
We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
