Billing and Payments for Chiropractic Clinics
Bills cover consultations, adjustment visits, visit packages and products such as lumbar belts. Advances, part payments and balances are entered with their payment mode, and each one ties back to the treatment plan.
What goes on a bill
How payment is taken
Cash, UPI and card are recorded as the mode on the bill. One bill may be split across two modes. A UPI payment is matched to the bill automatically once the clinic connects a payment gateway of its own.
Tax and the accountant
Whether the clinic’s services attract GST, and at what treatment, is a matter for the clinic’s accountant. Bills follow the format the accountant gives. Totals can be exported.
What billing does not do
It does not file returns. It does not claim from an insurer. Insurance and corporate tie-ups, if the clinic has any, are reviewed during scoping, and discounts above a set limit can be held for the owner’s approval.
Frequently asked questions
Can a bill be printed or sent on WhatsApp?
Yes. A bill can be printed on the clinic’s paper size or sent as a file over WhatsApp or email.
Can a receipt for an advance be issued?
Yes. An advance gets its own receipt, and later bills show it as already paid.
What about a refund for unused visits?
The clinic decides its rule. The system records the refund against the plan, with the reason and the person who approved it.
Can discounts be limited by role?
Yes. The front desk can be capped at a set discount, and larger ones are passed to the owner.
