Subcontractor and Labour Payments for Electrical Contractors
Work given to wiring subcontractors and labour gangs is recorded with its measured quantity, advances and payments. What is owed to each party is visible against the site that the work was done on.
Work given out
Electrical contractors often hand a floor or a block to a gang or a smaller firm. The work order records what was given and the terms on which it was given.
Paying the gang
Payments follow measured work, with advances paid in between, and the account for each gang shows exactly where it stands at any date.
Link to site cost
Payments to gangs and subcontractors are added to the cost of the site. The owner then reads material, own labour and subcontracted labour side by side against the amount billed to the client.
What this module does not do
It does not draw up a subcontract. Tax deducted at source on payments, and the paperwork a gang must provide, depend on how it is constituted and are decided with the firm’s accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Can a gang be paid by the point?
Yes. The rate per point is on the work order, and the payable amount follows the points measured.
Does it track advances to individual workers in a gang?
No. The account is kept at gang level. Workers on the firm’s own team are tracked under attendance.
Can the same gang work on more than one site?
Yes. Work orders are per site, and the gang’s account shows them together.
Are payments made through the system?
No. Payments are recorded. The money moves through your bank, UPI or cash as before.
