Elevator AMC Billing and Collection Records
Invoices for AMC instalments, repair work and chargeable spares are raised from records your staff have already entered. Collections are recorded against the building that owes them.
What gets billed
Four kinds of money come into a lift company, and each has its own trail.
GST and the invoice itself
Invoices carry GST in the form your accountant asks for, with the HSN or SAC codes your office already uses on service and on parts. Nothing is invented here. Your auditor settles how the supply of a lift, erection labour and an annual contract are each treated. Your invoice format, numbering series and the wording on an AMC bill follow the way you issue them today.
Collections and what is outstanding
Money received is entered against the invoice it settles.
What billing leaves to you
- Tax treatment of lift supply, erection and annual cover is for your accountant
- Your invoice format, numbering and bill wording are loaded at set-up
- Whether an instalment invoice leaves the office without a person checking it
- Who may change or cancel an invoice once it has been issued
- Credit periods allowed to a builder or a facility company
Frequently asked questions
Can part payment from a society be recorded?
Yes. A receipt can settle part of an invoice, and the balance stays on that building’s account.
Does it raise instalment invoices on its own?
Only if you want that. Otherwise instalments due appear for accounts staff to raise and check.
How is a chargeable breakdown billed?
The call already holds the labour and the parts fitted. Nothing needs retyping to turn it into an invoice.
Can our accountant read these figures?
Yes. AMC, repair and spare figures can be read in GullySystem. A Tally export is quoted after your ledger layout is settled.
