Lift and Building Records for Elevator Companies

This module holds the register of every lift your company looks after. Machine details, the building it stands in and the history of work done sit on one record.

What a lift record holds

One record carries what a technician asks for before reaching the site. Nothing waits in a second file.

Machine and model

Make, model, machine number, load in kilograms, rated speed and the number of persons the car is built to carry. The desk reads this before dispatching anyone.

Shaft and travel

Floors served, travel height, pit depth, headroom, and whether the machine room sits above the shaft or beside it. The surveyor enters these once.

Controller and drive

Controller make and type, the drive, the door operator and whether an automatic rescue device is fitted. Spare parts depend on this.

Handover and warranty

The date the lift was handed over, the team that erected it, and the warranty period your office agreed with the buyer are all held here.

Buildings, wings and lift numbering

Buildings carry a record of their own. A society, hospital or office block holds one or more lifts, each numbered the way the people living or working there already name it. Wing A Lift 2 reads the same on the desk screen as it does on the landing door. The building record also keeps the facility manager’s name, the security desk number and the gate timings your technicians must work around.

Who reads the register

Service desk

Finds the lift a caller is talking about, reads its make and controller, and sees who last attended it. That saves a second call.

Technicians

Open the lift on a phone before travelling. Past faults and the parts already fitted are visible there.

Owners

Count lifts by make, by building and by the cover each one carries. Lifts that call often stand out.

Store staff

Read the model and controller type before issuing a card, roller or rope, so the right part leaves the shelf.

What the lift record does not do

  • It reads nothing from the lift controller or any remote monitoring box
  • Visit frequency comes from the contract, not from this register
  • It holds no valuation or depreciation for the building owner
  • Wing names and lift numbers follow what the building already uses
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can lifts of other makes be kept here?

Yes. The register takes any make your technicians service, and the controller type is entered as the field finds it.

How are two lifts in one wing told apart?

Each lift carries its own number and name. Wing B Lift 1 and Wing B Lift 2 stay separate on every call.

Does the record show past breakdowns?

Yes. Calls, routine visits and parts fitted appear on the lift’s history with the newest entry first. No entry is removed later.

Can drawings be attached to a lift?

Yes. Drawings and handover papers are filed against the lift and read from the same screen.
