Lift Spare Parts Store and Van Stock
Lift spares are counted in the store and in the hands of each technician. Every part that leaves is issued against a lift number, so the history of that machine is complete.
What the store holds
Spares for lifts are many and small. Each belongs to a make and a model.
Issue, van stock and return
A part leaves the store in two ways. It is either issued straight against a lift during a call, or handed to a technician to carry, which becomes his own van stock. What a technician holds is visible to the store and to the desk, so a card already in a bag is not ordered again. Parts fitted are deducted from that stock, and unused parts are returned and counted back.
Reorder and purchase
The store watches what moves and what sits.
What the store module leaves to you
- Reorder levels for every part, set from your own consumption
- Whether a technician may issue a part to himself without the store
- Which parts count as chargeable under each cover type
- Barcode or QR labelling, if you want it, is scoped before go-live
Frequently asked questions
Can a part be traced to the lift it was fitted to?
Yes. Every issue carries a lift number, so the machine history lists each card, roller and rope fitted to it.
Is the stock a technician carries counted separately?
Yes. Van stock sits under that technician’s name and reduces as he fits parts at the buildings on his route.
How is a part from an old make handled?
It is held like any other, against the make and model it suits. Unmoved parts are listed for the owner.
Can purchase orders be raised here?
Yes. Orders go to your suppliers from the short list, and goods arriving are booked against that order.
