Attendance, Shortage and Condonation
Attendance is recorded subject by subject and totalled as a running percentage. The module flags shortage before the limit is reached and keeps the condonation record with its approval, reason and fee.
Attendance and exam eligibility together
Attendance registers feed the eligibility list for the examination. Faculty mark classes, mentors watch percentages, and the exam section reads the same figures. Registers kept apart from eligibility mean shortage is found late. Here the running total is visible from the first weeks of the semester.

Frequently asked questions
Is attendance tracked per subject or per day?
Per subject. A student can be comfortable overall and still be short in one paper, so each subject carries its own percentage and its own warning.
When are shortage warnings sent?
At thresholds the college sets, reviewed during implementation. Each warning states how many classes remain and how many must be attended to recover.
How is condonation recorded?
As an application against the student, with its approval, reason and fee. A repeat condonation is visible on the record. What the rule allows is set by your regulation.
Can attendance be corrected after it is marked?
Yes. The correction is stored with the person who made it and the reason. Nothing is overwritten without a trace.
What if a faculty member forgets to mark a class?
The unmarked register is flagged to that faculty member and to the department. Until it is marked, the class is not counted as held.
