Do messages go out automatically?
Absence alerts, reminders and circulars are sent from the office and from the teacher’s screen. What goes to a parent is a decision somebody makes, which most schools prefer.
Can a message go to the whole school by mistake?
You pick the class or the school before anything is sent, and one child’s parent is a separate message from the teacher’s screen. Nothing goes out on its own, so both the list and the decision belong to a person.
Will this stop the class WhatsApp groups?
No, and it should not try. Those groups will carry on. What changes is that the school’s own notices no longer depend on them.
