Class Attendance and Check-In for Yoga Studios
The teacher or the desk marks who attended each yoga class. Every mark counts a session against the student’s pass, and the register stops being a paper list.
Ways to mark attendance
What a mark does
Present means one session counted against the pass. A member on a monthly plan is logged as attending for the day. Any booked student who is not marked becomes a no-show, treated the way the studio has decided, and the register of any past class can be opened later.
Who uses attendance
Teachers see who came and who is missing. Front-desk staff see the sessions left on each pass. The owner reads the numbers by class and batch to see which timetable slots fill and which stay half empty through the week.
What attendance does not do
It records presence in the room or online. It does not assess practice or give feedback on posture. It does not issue a certificate either. For a teacher training batch, how many classes count toward completion is the studio’s own call.
Frequently asked questions
Can a student be marked present after the class ends?
Yes, by the desk or the teacher, within the window the studio sets. The correction is recorded against the class, so the register of that day and the sessions left on the pass agree with each other afterwards.
Do we need a device at the door?
No. A teacher’s phone or a desk list is enough. A QR code at the door is optional and is confirmed during scoping.
What about a student who attends a class that is not on her plan?
The desk is shown that the plan does not cover that class, such as a workshop slot on a pass meant for regular batches. She can pay a drop-in fee. The owner can also allow it once.
Is attendance shown to the student?
Yes. A student can see her classes attended and the sessions left on her pass.
