Appointments and Token Queue for Ayurveda Clinics
The appointment screen books patients with a vaidya by time or by token. Walk-ins, phone bookings, WhatsApp requests and reschedules all land on one list that the front desk works from.
Booking by vaidya
Who uses it
Reception books and moves patients, and the vaidya sees the queue, opens the next patient’s sheet and writes the prescription that goes on to the dispensary. Patients on a therapy course arrive for a sitting, not a consultation. Those sittings show on the therapist’s list instead.
What happens after the call
When the vaidya calls a patient, the case sheet opens, and after the consultation the patient goes to the dispensary, the therapy room or the billing counter. Queue status changes at each stop.
What the client decides
Online booking forms and payment at the time of booking are separate pieces of work, confirmed during scoping.
- Slot length for each vaidya and each kind of visit
- Whether a vaidya runs on tokens, slots or both
- How many walk-ins fit into a session
- Whether patients may request a visit through a booking link
- Which reminder messages go out before a visit
Frequently asked questions
Can patients ask for a visit online?
Yes, where the clinic wants it. A booking link lands on the same list as phone bookings, and what the form asks is agreed with the clinic.
Does it work with tokens instead of times?
Yes. One vaidya can run tokens while another runs timed slots.
How is a vaidya’s leave or a camp day handled?
The desk marks the vaidya unavailable for the day or part of it. Bookings inside that window are held so they can be moved.
What if a vaidya sits at a second branch on alternate days?
Each branch has its own days for each vaidya. Staff at a branch see only the sessions open there.
