Consultation and Prescription Records for Ayurveda Clinics

The consultation screen records complaints, findings and diagnosis in the vaidya’s own words. The prescription that follows lists medicines with dose and anupana, diet advice and any therapy the vaidya has advised.

What the vaidya records

Complaints and duration

The patient’s complaints are entered with how long each has lasted, and earlier visits stay on the same screen for the vaidya to refer to while writing.

Findings and prakriti

Pulse, prakriti and other findings go in under headings the clinic chooses. The vaidya can reuse a template for common visit types. Templates save typing.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis is typed in the clinic’s own words. The software does not supply one.

The prescription

Medicines with dose

Each line names the medicine, the dose, the time of day and the days to take it, and kashayams, choornams, tablets, arishtams, ghritas and oils share one list.

Anupana and instructions

Anupana, such as warm water or milk, goes on the line with any instruction, and the printed copy and the WhatsApp copy carry the same text.

Diet and routine advice

Pathya and apathya notes print with the prescription, so the patient takes them home in writing. Spoken advice is not relied on alone.

Therapy advised

A therapy the vaidya advises starts a treatment course. The therapy, the number of sittings and any room need carry across.

From prescription to dispensary

A saved prescription lands on the dispensary list, where the dispensary picks the batches, the quantities come off stock and the bill is prepared for the counter. A medicine the clinic does not stock is marked as bought outside.

What stays with the vaidya

The software stores and prints what the vaidya writes. It does not suggest a medicine, a dose or a diagnosis.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the vaidya reuse a prescription from an earlier visit?

Yes. An earlier prescription can be copied and edited, so a repeat course takes a few changes instead of a fresh entry.

Does the dispensary see the prescription at once?

Yes. A saved prescription appears on the dispensary list, and the dispensary works from that screen.

Can proprietary and classical medicines both be listed?

Yes. Both sit in the medicine list, and the clinic decides how each is named and measured.

Is the prescription sent to the patient?

A printed copy is handed over, or a WhatsApp copy goes out where the clinic has connected it. That connection is confirmed during scoping.
