Pathology Lab Software Views for Desk, Bench and Pathologist

A sample passes through many hands, from the phlebotomist to the bench to the pathologist. Each role sees the part of the record it needs, and access follows the login. A technician has no need to see the bill, and a partner centre must not see another centre’s patients, so each login opens only its own screens.

Who sees what

Lab owner

Samples by source, reports pending, collections, B2B dues, outsourced tests and kits near expiry.

Pathologists

The sign-off queue with flags and earlier values, and the reports they have signed.

Technicians

Their department’s worklist, result entry and control runs. Billing stays hidden.

Front desk

Registration, payments, home visit bookings, report status and delivery.

Phlebotomists

The day’s visits, addresses, tubes to carry and samples to hand in.

Partner centres

Their own patients, reports and statement, and nothing else.

Limits inside a role

A technician can be held to one department. A branch user sees one branch. Discounts and refunds are allowed only to the roles the owner picks. Every edit to a result or bill is logged with the user and time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the desk see results before sign-off?

Only the status. Values stay hidden from the desk until the report is signed, if the lab sets it that way.

Can one person hold two roles?

Yes. In a small lab the owner is often the pathologist, and one login can carry both.
