Tile Orders and Part Deliveries to Site
An approved quotation becomes an order, and that order goes out in as many loads as a site needs. Each load carries its own challan and box count.
What the order holds
Loads out of the godown
A picking list prints for each load, naming series, size, lot, box count and the rack to walk to. The loader marks what actually went on the lorry, which is not always what the list asked for. Vehicle number, driver name and the time of despatch are saved with the challan. Where a lorry is hired, the freight and the transporter name go on the challan too.
Following an order to the end
What the client decides
- Whether an advance is needed before the first load leaves
- Who may release a load to a site with dues outstanding
- Whether freight is charged to the buyer or absorbed
- How long reserved boxes stay held before returning to free stock
Frequently asked questions
Can one order have five deliveries?
Yes. There is no limit on loads, and each one carries its own challan, vehicle and box count.
Does a challan print for the lorry?
Yes. It prints with the site address, the lines on that load and space for a site signature.
What if the loader sends fewer boxes?
The challan records what went. The order then shows the shortfall as still pending for that site.
Can an order be changed after approval?
Yes, until it closes. Lines can be added or dropped, and the reserved boxes move with the change.
