Room-Wise Tile and Sanitaryware Quotations
A quotation is built room by room, with tiles by the box and fittings by the piece. Every revision is numbered and kept, so the counter can show what changed.
How a quotation is put together
Sending it out
The sheet prints on your letterhead and can travel to the buyer over WhatsApp or email. Contractors usually want it broken up room by room, while a house owner wants one total with the rooms listed below it. Both come off the same record. A validity date can be printed, because company rates on a series do move.
From quotation to order
What the quotation does not settle
The wastage allowance is a rule you set, not a measurement of the site. Breakage during laying, the pattern a mason follows and the adhesive or cement needed all sit outside this module. Your accountant or advisor settles how GST is charged on a bill holding both tiles and fittings. Freight and unloading appear only if you charge for them.
Frequently asked questions
Can the wastage allowance differ by tile size?
Yes. Large formats often carry a different allowance from small wall tiles, and the figures you work with are set at implementation.
Does the buyer see boxes or square feet?
Both can be printed. The line carries the area, the box count and the rate, so nothing has to be worked out again at site.
How many revisions can a quotation have?
There is no fixed limit. Each one is numbered and kept, and any earlier version can be opened.
Can a quotation be sent on WhatsApp?
Yes, where a business account is in place. Otherwise it goes by email, or it is printed at the counter.
