Tile Showroom Software Views for Owners and Counter Staff
A tile showroom passes one site between the counter, the godown and the lorry. What each person can open is limited to the work they do.
One site, four roles
Through the day
A house owner walks in with a plan, and the counter notes the rooms and the area before showing series by size and finish. A contractor rings about his second site. The godown prints a picking list, and the lorry pulls out with a challan. By evening the counter knows which quotations are still open.
At month end
Outstanding by builder and contractor, breakage written off, slow series and the quotations lost are read in one sitting. Sales and purchase figures go to the accountant from the same records. Purchase staff read what each company still owes. A second godown is read on its own, while the owner reads both side by side.
What the client decides
- Which roles exist in the showroom and who holds them
- What each role may open, change, cancel or credit
- Who may give a discount or override a credit limit
- Whether counter staff may read agreed contractor rates
- Who may write off breakage in the godown
Frequently asked questions
Can counter staff see what a contractor was charged?
That is set with you. Some showrooms keep agreed contractor rates with the owner alone.
Do godown staff need a computer?
No. The picking list prints, and loading can be marked from a phone kept in the godown.
Who may cancel a challan?
Only the roles you allow. A cancellation keeps the person and the time on record.
Can an owner read two godowns together?
Yes. Each godown keeps its own count, and the owner reads both side by side.
