Architect and Contractor Accounts for Tile Showrooms
Builders, contractors and interior designers buy across several sites at once. Each account holds its sites, its orders and its running balance in one place.
What an account holds
Why site-wise matters
A builder rings about one site and nothing else. Reading a single mixed ledger for four sites is how a collection call goes wrong. With orders and invoices sitting under their own site, the counter can say what that site owes, what went out last week and which boxes are still pending. An owner also sees which sites run clean.
Credit at the counter
What this module does not do
It does not fix your credit terms, your contractor rates or your referral arrangements. Those are commercial choices. How a referral payment is treated in your books is a tax question, and your accountant answers it. The module keeps what was agreed and what was paid. It also will not chase a builder for you, though it will tell you whom to ring.
Frequently asked questions
Can a contractor get his own rates?
Yes. An agreed rate per series or size sits on the account, and a quotation built for him uses it.
Are invoices kept site-wise?
Yes. Each site under the account carries its own orders, challans and invoices, with its own balance.
Can a credit limit block an order?
It can warn, and it can block for staff who may not override. Which staff may override is your decision.
Is architect commission worked out here?
What was agreed and what has been paid is recorded. The arrangement and its treatment in your books stay with you and your advisor.
