We build software for Karnataka businesses that run on Tally, Excel and WhatsApp, from our Nagarbhavi office.
Across Karnataka, most businesses run on Tally for accounts, Excel for stock and a WhatsApp group for orders, and the three rarely agree at month end. GullySystem, a software company in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, builds the ERP, CRM, billing and dashboard software that joins them up. It starts with a free technology audit of what you use today.
From a machine shop in Peenya to an areca trader in Shivamogga, the paperwork looks familiar. Invoices come out of Tally, stock sits in a register or a spreadsheet, and orders arrive as WhatsApp messages and phone calls that someone copies into a book at night.
Karnataka is our home state and the one we can reach fastest. Bengaluru clients can meet us at the Nagarbhavi office. For Hubballi, Belagavi, Mangaluru or Kalaburagi we work on calls and screen-shares, and travel for kick-off and training when being in the room helps.
What Karnataka makes, trades and runs on.
Bengaluru and its industrial belts
Peenya, Bommasandra and Electronic City run on job work, purchase orders and dispatch challans. Around them sit clinics, PGs, interior studios and start-ups that live on appointment books, rent ledgers and project sheets.
Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi
Foundries at Udyambag, agri-equipment makers at Tarihal and the Durgadbail wholesale market. The work depends on job cards, heat numbers, dealer credit and the salesman’s order book.
Mangaluru and the coast
Cashew and seafood processing near Baikampady, port logistics at Panambur, co-operative societies and a large college and hospital base. Lot records, shipping papers, loan ledgers and fee registers carry the load.
Mysuru and Tumakuru
Engineering units at Hebbal, Hootagalli, Vasanthanarasapura and Antharasanahalli, agarbatti makers with distributors in many states, and Tiptur’s copra trade. Distributor orders, batch records and OEM schedules decide the day.
Shivamogga, Davangere and the Malnad
Areca, maize and cotton trading at the APMC yards, with oil mills, rice mills and mandakki units around them. The commission agent’s ledger, grower advances and the daily rate sheet are the core records.
Kalaburagi and Ballari
Tur dal mills and cement in Kalaburagi, steel ancillaries, mining transport and jeans workshops in Ballari. Weighbridge slips, lorry trip sheets and piece-rate wage books are where the money is won or lost.
How Karnataka businesses pick and use software.
Most of Karnataka’s software people work in Bengaluru. In Kalaburagi or Ballari, the programmer who could help has often moved there, so the accountant who installed Tally is the one the owner calls about anything with a screen.
Language decides adoption. A supervisor in Hubballi or Kalaburagi will use an app with Kannada labels and large buttons, and will quietly avoid one that looks like an English accounting form. In Belagavi the same shop floor may be half Marathi, and on the coast staff move between Tulu, Konkani and Kannada.
Trust travels through family and the trade. An owner in Davangere will ask a cousin working in Bengaluru IT to read a proposal, or check with the local chamber of commerce, before signing anything. We expect that call and are glad to take it.
Where Karnataka businesses lose time and money.
The credit slip reaches Tally a week late
In north Karnataka wholesale, goods leave the shop against a hand-written slip and the invoice is typed into Tally later. By the time the owner sees a retailer’s balance, the retailer has already bought again on credit.
Our salesmen cover half of north Karnataka and report by phone
Reps travel from Hubballi to Gadag, Haveri and Bagalkot, call in orders at night and send photos of the order book. Nobody in the office can see which dealer was visited, what was promised or which scheme was offered.
The local vendor who wrote our billing program has moved on
Plenty of units in Davangere, Ballari and Shivamogga run a desktop billing package written by a local programmer years ago. He has since taken a job in Bengaluru, the source code went with him, and the GST changes are patched by hand.
Our shop-floor staff will not type in English
Machine operators and godown staff across the state read Kannada comfortably and English slowly. Screens that ask them to type English remarks get skipped, so the register on the wall stays the real record.

Do you have an office outside Bengaluru, in Hubballi or Mangaluru?
No. Our only office is in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. Work elsewhere in Karnataka runs on calls, screen-shares, WhatsApp and shared documents. We travel for a kick-off, a go-live or training when being there helps, and agree that travel in advance.
Can the software be in Kannada?
Yes. Screens your staff use every day can carry Kannada labels, and documents such as delivery challans can print in both Kannada and English. We decide which screens need Kannada during the free technology audit, after seeing who uses what.
Do we have to stop using Tally?
Usually not. Tally stays for accounts and GST returns because your auditor knows it. We connect the new system so invoices, receipts and ledgers flow into Tally instead of being typed twice.
What happens in the free technology audit?
We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.
How much will the software cost?
We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
