Computers and IT · Software for computer retailers

Our counter bills the laptop, but the serial number and the service job live somewhere else.

A computer shop runs on serial-numbered stock, weekly distributor price changes, and a repair counter, and a warranty claim means hunting for an old bill. GullySystem builds retail software for computer shops that bills by serial number, keeps distributor stock and schemes in view, and tracks each repair job. A warranty claim starts from the serial, not from old Tally bills.

At a glance

In a computer shop, every laptop, SSD, and monitor has a serial number that matters later. Most billing software treats them as a count.

We build point-of-sale and service software around serial tracking, and the free technology audit begins with how your counter and service desk work today.

How the work runs today

Stock comes from distributors against a PO, often with a scheme or price protection that changes every week. Walk-in customers want a laptop, a gaming build, or a printer cartridge, and the counter bills with GST. Corporate buyers ask for quotes on ten desktops and a UPS, and expect credit.

The service counter takes in a laptop with a dead hinge or a failed SSD and writes a job slip. It is either repaired in the shop or sent to the brand’s service centre, and customers call daily asking for status. When a warranty claim comes, someone searches old bills in Tally to find the serial and date.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for computer retailers without a proper system.

We cannot find which bill a serial was on

A customer returns a faulty SSD, and proving it was sold here means scrolling through months of invoices.

Distributor schemes are missed

Price drops and scheme credits come by email, and nobody checks them against what was bought.

Repair jobs lose their place

Laptops sent to the brand service centre come back weeks later, and no one knows who is chasing.

Corporate credit piles up

Office customers buy on credit, and the outstanding list is a Tally report nobody reads.

What the software does

What we would build for computer retailers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Serial-number billing

Scan the serial at billing, so each item links to its invoice, customer, and warranty period.

Distributor purchase and scheme tracker

POs, goods received with serials, and scheme or price-protection credits due from each distributor.

Service job slips

Each repair logged with fault, accessories received, estimate, and status, with a WhatsApp update to the customer.

Warranty and RMA register

Items sent to brand service centres with dates, docket numbers, and follow-up reminders.

Corporate quotes and credit

Quotes for office buyers, converted to invoices, with outstanding and due dates per customer.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions computer retailers ask before they call.

Can we keep using Tally?

Yes. Sales and purchases can flow to Tally, so your accountant files GST as before while the counter uses faster billing.

Is a standard retail billing app enough?

If you sell mostly accessories, a good billing app may do. Once serials, repairs, and warranty claims matter, most generic apps fall short.

Can we sell online too?

Yes. We can connect the same stock to a web store or a marketplace listing, so online orders do not oversell.

Can it handle assembled PCs and gaming builds?

Yes. A custom build is billed as one item with each part’s serial listed under it. When a GPU or SSD comes back, you see which build it went into and its warranty date.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
