Finance and insurance · Software for stock brokers

The broker’s back office tells us trades, but not which clients have gone quiet.

Stock brokers and authorised persons run on the main broker’s back-office reports and a monthly sharing statement, while client calls go unlogged. GullySystem builds the client and revenue layer around those systems, never the trading platform itself, so dormant clients and short-paid brokerage get noticed. A free technology audit comes first.

At a glance

Trading, margins and risk run on licensed platforms from your broker or exchange, and they should stay there. What they don’t do is run your branch as a business.

That part sits in Excel and your dealers’ phones: who opened an account this month and who stopped trading. It also covers what head office owes you in sharing, and who asked for a callback.

How the work runs today

A new client fills the account opening form, KYC and bank proof are collected, and the file goes to the main broker. Activation takes days, and the client calls to ask why they can’t log in.

Once active, dealers take orders, clients call about their ledger, a pay-out request or a contract note, and the back office sends reports each morning. Activity reports show who traded, but nobody tracks who hasn’t traded since Diwali.

At month end, the brokerage-sharing statement arrives and you check it against your own trade report, client by client, in Excel.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for stock brokers without a proper system.

Account opening files get stuck

A missing signature or bank proof holds up activation, and the new client has lost interest by the time it clears.

Dormant clients drift away

No one sees that a client who traded weekly has been silent for two months until the account is closed.

Sharing statements don’t match our numbers

Rate slabs, reversals and client codes make the monthly payout hard to check, so short payments are accepted.

Client requests live in dealers’ phones

Pay-out requests, ledger questions and DP queries come on WhatsApp, and there is no record when a dealer leaves.

What the software does

What we would build for stock brokers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Account opening tracker

Each application by stage, with the missing document named and a reminder to the client.

Dormant and falling-activity list

Built from the back-office trade files you receive, listing clients whose activity has dropped.

Client request log

Pay-out, ledger and DP queries logged by dealer, with the time taken to close each.

Brokerage sharing reconciliation

Your expected share by client code compared with the head office statement, with gaps listed.

Dealer and sub-broker dashboard

New accounts, active clients and brokerage by dealer, for the Monday meeting.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions stock brokers ask before they call.

Can you build us a trading app?

We don’t build order routing or trading platforms. Those need exchange approvals and belong to your broker. We build the client, request and revenue systems around them.

Does it post brokerage income to Tally?

Yes. Sharing received from the main broker can post to Tally as income with GST, matched to the month’s statement.

Can it read the files our main broker sends each day?

Yes, where the back office gives you trade and ledger reports as Excel or CSV files. They are imported each morning and client activity is worked out from them. We don’t connect to the trading system itself.

Should we just use the broker’s CRM?

If your broker offers a CRM that covers leads and requests, try it first. The free technology audit will tell you whether it is enough or where it falls short.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
