Finance and insurance · Software for non-banking finance companies

Hold every loan from application to closure, with collections, DPD and collateral on one record.

Smaller non-banking finance companies lend against vehicles, gold, property or business cash flow, and often run the loan book across a vendor system, Excel and an accounting package. Sanction notes sit in email, field receipts in notebooks and the DPD position in a sheet rebuilt each month. The loan management system keeps application, sanction, disbursement, EMI schedule, collections and collateral on one record, and every change carries a name and a date.

At a glance

A small NBFC may run several products at once: used vehicle loans, gold loans, loans against property and unsecured business loans. Each has its own documents, approval levels and collection rhythm.

The board, the auditor and any lending partner ask for the same loan book cut different ways. It has to come from recorded receipts, not from a sheet someone keeps.

How the work runs today

Files arrive from branches, DSAs and walk-ins. Credit officers check KYC, bank statements and the bureau report pulled from the bureau’s own portal, then write an appraisal note for the approver at that loan size.

After disbursement, EMIs arrive by direct debit, bank transfer, cheque and cash collected in the field. Operations matches each receipt to a loan, and anything unmatched sits on a suspense list until somebody traces it.

Collections work bucket by bucket. Vehicle loans that slip far enough go to the recovery team. Every promise to pay, visit and notice needs a date and a name.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for non-banking finance companies without a proper system.

The loan book lives in three places

The loan system, Excel and the books each hold a version of outstanding principal. Month end starts with matching them.

Field receipts reach the office late

Collectors bring cash and handwritten receipts back at night, and the loan account updates the next day. Paid borrowers get reminder calls.

Buckets are rebuilt by filter

DPD is worked out from an export, and visits are assigned from that list some days later. Early arrears wait.

Approvals leave no trail

A sanction agreed on a phone call shows no name or time on the file when the auditor asks who approved it. The question goes round.

Collateral is tracked in a ledger book

Gold packets, RC copies and title deeds sit in a safe with a handwritten register. Release depends on memory.

What the software does

What we would build for non-banking finance companies.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Applications and KYC checklist

Keep a document checklist per loan product, with scanned national ID, tax number, bank statements and agreements stored against the application.

Appraisal and sanction levels

Record income, existing loans, credit history and a risk note, then route the file to the approver set for that amount or product. Disbursement waits for the sign-off, and the log shows who gave it.

Disbursement and EMI schedules

Record each release with date, mode and reference, track part disbursements and build schedules on a flat or reducing balance method.

Field receipts on the collector’s phone

Collectors see their own route and who is due, and enter each receipt against the borrower in the phone browser. Mobile wallet and gateway payments are recorded the same way.

DPD buckets and follow-up

Sort accounts into current, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and 90 plus days past due, with promise-to-pay notes and visit history on the loan.

Collateral register

List pledged gold, vehicles or property papers against the loan with their valuation, and mark release when it closes.

Receipts matched to the bank statement

Import each account’s statement, let rules clear regular credits and keep every unmatched entry on one list with a written reason.

Common questions

Questions non-banking finance companies ask before they call.

Is this a core lending system for a large NBFC?

No. It suits smaller lenders running a loan book with field collections. It does not file regulatory returns, pull bureau reports or read Account Aggregator feeds, so a larger NBFC needs an established core lending platform.

Can it present direct debit mandates?

No. Mandates are arranged with your bank. A direct debit credit is matched from the bank statement and recorded against the loan like any other receipt.

Can gold, vehicle and property loans run side by side?

Yes. Each loan product has its own checklist, approval levels and schedule rules, and the collateral register holds the gold, the vehicle or the papers against each loan.

Will our auditor be able to work from it?

Yes, for the records it keeps. Every application, approval, disbursement and receipt carries a name and date, and an auditor can be given a read-only login. What your auditor or regulator requires is for your adviser to confirm.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
