Agriculture · Software for agri-drone operators

Log every field, spray mission and battery cycle against the drone that flew it.

Agri-drone operators fly crop spraying, spreading and mapping missions for farmers who book by the acre or hectare. This software keeps each field, its tank mix, its flight log and its drone together. Pilot papers, batteries and payloads are tracked by dates and cycles. A farmer’s spray record comes from the same entry. Nothing is retyped.

At a glance

A drone operator sells flying hours that end up as a number on a farmer’s field. The farmer wants to know what went on the crop, how much ground was covered and on what day. The pilot knows. The answer is in a phone gallery, a notebook and a battery log.

Booking, mission and fleet tracking for agri-drone businesses starts with the field and ends with the spray record. The field comes first. Tell us how many pilots fly and how a mission is briefed, and we shape the field record, tank mix and battery log to that routine.

How the work runs today

A farmer rings during a pest flare-up and asks for a spray on a few acres of cotton, rice or sugarcane. The operator notes the field, the crop stage, the product the farmer will supply and the nearest water body, house or neighbouring crop. A date is fixed against wind and the pilot’s diary. Weather decides. The team arrives with the drone, spare battery sets, a charging generator, a water tanker and a helper who mixes the product at the field edge.

The pilot maps the boundary, sets swath width, flow rate and flight height, and flies the mission in several sorties. Each sortie uses a tank load and a battery set, and ends with a landing, a refill and a swap. Area sprayed, product used and flight time are noted. Then the next tank. Back at the base, batteries go on charge, nozzles are cleaned and the farmer is billed per acre. Mapping jobs end with an orthomosaic file instead of a spray, and a farmer or crop adviser may ask for that file months later, after the pilot has moved on. The operator also tracks pilot papers, drone registration and insurance dates.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for agri-drone operators without a proper system.

The spray record lives in a phone gallery

Photos of the field, the tank and the screen with the area covered sit among family pictures. Nothing is searchable. A farmer or buyer who asks what was applied gets an answer from memory.

Battery packs are used until one fails

Charge cycles, swelling and resting time are never counted per pack. A weak pack drops mid-sortie, and the drone lands short of the field edge. Time is lost.

Tank mix and dose are not tied to the field

Product, water volume per acre and mixing order are told to the helper by voice. A wrong dose is discovered only when the crop shows damage. By then it is too late.

Pilot and drone papers expire unnoticed

Pilot certificate, registration and insurance each carry a date. They are kept in different folders, so one lapses just before a booked season starts. Jobs stop.

Billed area differs from flown area

The farmer claims a field of six acres, the log shows four and a half, and the invoice is argued on the spot. No flight record settles it. Goodwill goes.

What the software does

What we would build for agri-drone operators.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Farmer and field register

Hold each farmer, field boundary, area, crop and growth stage. Notes on nearby water, houses, hives and neighbouring crops limit where and when the drone may fly.

Spray plan and tank mix

Record product, dose per acre, water volume and mixing order for each field, so the helper at the field edge works from a written plan.

Mission job card and flight log

Capture pilot, drone, sorties, battery sets, area covered, flight height, wind note and tank loads for each mission, with the farmer’s acknowledgement.

Drone, battery and payload register

List each airframe, battery pack, pump and nozzle set with charge cycles, hours flown and service dates, so a worn part is retired before it fails.

Pilot and permit papers

Keep pilot certificate, drone registration and insurance dates in one place, with reminders ahead of every expiry.

Area billing and spray records

Bill the area flown from the mission log. Post the farmer’s payment. Print a spray record for the field.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions agri-drone operators ask before they call.

Does the software plan the flight path?

No. The pilot’s own flight app plans and flies the mission. The software records the area covered, the loads and the pilot’s notes, and ties them to the field and the farmer.

Can a spray record be printed for a farmer?

Yes. A mission produces a record with the field, crop, product, dose, date, pilot and area covered. Which fields appear on that record, and how they read, is settled with you in the opening workshop.

Does it work where there is no signal?

Only partly. Pilots enter mission details from a phone browser, which needs a connection to save. Where there is no signal, the entry waits in the handset and uploads when the crew drives back into coverage.

Can we bring over our existing farmer list?

Yes. Your existing farmer list, field details and earlier missions are brought in from the sheet you keep today. Your own staff check them, and the first workshop settles which history is brought across.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
