Agriculture · Software for fisheries and aquaculture farms

Follow every stocking lot from seed delivery to harvest through ponds, feed and water readings.

A fish farm is judged at harvest, yet the outcome is set weeks earlier by seed quality, feed given and water condition. This software keeps the stocking lot, daily feed, mortality, water readings and treatments for each pond or cage in one record, then carries the lot into harvest and buyer billing.

At a glance

A farm holds several ponds, tanks or cages at different stages. Each was stocked from a different seed delivery on a different day, and each is fed, sampled and treated on its own pattern. The numbers that matter are scattered across a feed register, a water log and a harvest slip, so the true cost of one lot is rarely known. Nobody sees the whole lot.

Aquaculture farm software starts from the unit. A pond or cage opens with its seed lot, its count and its first sample weight. Everything after that joins the same record, from the first feed round to the last harvest net.

How the work runs today

Before dawn the farm hand walks the dykes, checks the aerators and reads dissolved oxygen, temperature and pH at fixed points. Feed goes out by pond according to body weight and stage, in several rounds. Dead fish are counted at the edge and entered against the pond. Every few weeks a net is cast and a handful of fish are weighed to set the next ration. Then the round begins again.

A seed delivery arrives in oxygenated bags with a count and a supplier slip, and is acclimatised before release. Treatments follow a diagnosis, each with a withdrawal period that must pass before sale. When a pond is ready, the manager books a harvest crew, ice and a vehicle. The catch is graded by size and weighed out to a buyer or a processor against an order.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for fisheries and aquaculture farms without a proper system.

Seed lots lose their origin

Fingerlings from three hatcheries go into six ponds, and the count on the delivery slip is only an estimate. When survival differs, nobody can link it back to a supplier lot. Blame stays vague.

Feed is logged but never compared

Bags are issued by pond in a notebook, and the feed conversion for a lot is worked out once a season, if at all. A pond that over-feeds shows its cost only at the end. That is too late.

Water readings stay on paper

Oxygen and ammonia readings are written on a board near the pump. A slow decline across four mornings is missed because no one sees the readings side by side. Trends go unseen.

Treatments and withdrawal dates are separate

A pond is dosed in one week, and the harvest is booked in another by a different person. The only link between them is memory.

Harvest weights and sales do not agree

The catch is weighed at the pond bank, iced, and weighed again at the buyer. The two figures differ, and the invoice follows whichever slip arrives first. Trust erodes.

What the software does

What we would build for fisheries and aquaculture farms.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Pond and cage register

Each pond, tank or cage is entered with its area or volume, species, and current stocking lot, so every later record has a unit to attach to.

Seed receipt and stocking

Record the hatchery, delivery count, transport loss and acclimatisation notes, then stock the lot into a pond with its first sample weight.

Daily feed and ration plan

Feed is issued by pond and by round, against a ration set from sampled weight. Bags drawn from the store are matched to the pond that received them.

Water quality log

Oxygen, temperature, pH, ammonia and salinity are keyed by the farm hand at each pond, with a trend per unit and alerts against limits you set.

Mortality, sampling and treatments

Dead counts, sample weights, diagnoses and doses go in one history per pond, and each treatment carries its withdrawal end date.

Harvest, grading and dispatch

Plan the harvest, record the catch by size grade, and weigh it out to buyers with ice and vehicle details on the dispatch note.

Aerators, pumps and nets

Equipment is listed per pond with its service dates, and breakdowns are logged against the unit that was affected.

Solutions inside

The business modules fisheries and aquaculture farms use most.

Each one is also available on its own, or inside a system built for you.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions fisheries and aquaculture farms ask before they call.

Is it built for earthen ponds as well as sea cages?

Yes. A unit can be a pond, a tank, a raceway or a net cage. Each has its own species, stocking lot and readings, and the fields you use are chosen during set-up. Easy to change.

Can it calculate feed conversion for a lot?

Yes. Feed issued to the pond and the gain measured at sampling and harvest are both in the record, so the conversion for that lot is read from entries already made.

Do sensors have to be installed?

No. Farm hands can key readings from a phone at the pond edge. If probes or data loggers already sit in the water, their readings can come in as a file or a live feed, and we agree the format at the start.

How are fish records moved to the new system?

The farm manager brings live ponds, open stocking lots and recent feed totals across from the paper registers, then checks each figure against the book. Closed seasons can come across as a summary.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
