Automotive · Software for eV dealers

Keep each electric vehicle, wall box survey and delivery check on one record.

A sale is more than a car handed over. The EV dealer software ties the test drive, the home wall box survey, the finance file and the pre-delivery check to one vehicle identification number. Battery health on used stock stays on record. So does the Type 2 cable.

At a glance

An EV showroom sells a vehicle and a way of charging it. The buyer asks about real-world range, the wall box at home, the cable in the boot and what the battery warranty covers, yet those answers sit in different notebooks. Few are written.

Dealer software for electric vehicles puts the VIN at the centre. Enquiry, test drive, survey, finance, delivery check and first service all hang from that one number, so any colleague sees what was promised. One VIN, followed from enquiry to first service, shows the whole idea.

How the work runs today

A buyer walks in or books a drive online. The sales executive notes the daily distance, whether the buyer has a parking bay with a socket and whether a wall box survey is needed. Demo cars are booked by slot, and each drive returns with the state of charge written down so the next buyer does not wait beside a plugged-in car. Stock arrives from the maker as allocations with a VIN, a colour, a battery option and a software version.

Before delivery the workshop runs a pre-delivery inspection covering tyre pressure, charge port flap, onboard charger, high-voltage warning labels and the state of charge on arrival. The accessories desk adds a Type 2 charging cable, a plug adapter and a floor mat set, and the buyer’s signature on the handover sheet lists every one of them by name. A trade-in is valued with a battery state-of-health reading. Then the service desk books the first check and watches for open recall campaigns.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for eV dealers without a proper system.

The wall box survey is separate from the sale

The buyer is told a wall box will fit, yet the electrician’s survey lives in a different notebook. The car arrives before the consumer unit and cable run are ready.

Allocations are tracked on the maker’s portal only

The maker’s portal lists vehicles on order, in transit and in the yard by VIN, and that is the only place they are listed. Nobody on the floor can match them to a named buyer, so the same car gets promised twice.

Battery health on used stock is not written down

A pre-owned EV is priced from a reading taken once on a diagnostic tool, and the report is then lost from the file. The next buyer asks for it. The dealer cannot produce it.

Delivery checks depend on who is on shift

Charge level, cable, adapter and software version are checked from memory by whoever is on shift. Missing items surface at the first service, weeks after the buyer has driven away.

Recall and software campaigns are hard to match

A campaign lists VIN ranges, and matching them to sold cars and their owners means opening several files by hand, one buyer after another. The notice sits unread on a desk. Owners hear late.

What the software does

What we would build for eV dealers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Enquiry and test drive booking

Record each enquiry with daily distance, parking type and home charging access. Book demo cars by slot and note the state of charge out and back.

Vehicle allocation and yard stock

Hold every allocation by VIN, battery option and colour, from order to transit to yard. Tie each one to a named buyer. The floor sees what is really coming.

Home wall box survey

Attach the survey to the sale, covering socket location, cable run, supply capacity noted by the electrician and the installation date before delivery. The job shows on the electrician’s phone. Delivery waits for it.

Finance, trade-in and incentive file

Collect the finance application, the trade-in valuation with its battery health reading, and any incentive paperwork your local rules require. Missing pages are flagged. Nothing waits in a drawer.

Pre-delivery inspection and handover

Run a checklist per vehicle for charge level, port, cable, adapter and software version, with a photo of any scuff. The buyer signs the handover sheet on a tablet.

Service, warranty and recall matching

Book the first check, log battery and charger complaints against the VIN, and list sold cars that fall in an open campaign. Owners are called from that list.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 1

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, accounting reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 3

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 4

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 5

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions eV dealers ask before they call.

Can we record a battery health reading on a used car?

Yes. Each reading is filed under the car’s VIN, stamped with the day and the technician’s name, so the next valuation or buyer enquiry opens that same record. Nothing is retyped.

Does the home charger survey sit inside the sale?

Yes. The survey is a step on the buyer’s file, so delivery waits for it. Your electrician or partner installer can see the job on a phone and mark it done.

How is the cost of the system arrived at?

The count of showrooms, yards and workshop bays that log in drives the figure. First we run a demo on your real allocation list. A written quotation comes after you have seen it.

Can we read our vehicle history if we leave?

Yes. Vehicle files, surveys and delivery sheets can be exported by VIN, and which file layout you get back is fixed in the quotation, agreed before any work begins.

What should an EV dealership gather ahead of the project?

Bring the enquiry sheet, a test drive log, the maker’s allocation list, a wall box survey form, a finance and trade-in file and the delivery inspection checklist. Sales, the yard, the workshop and accounts should each name one person to try the screens and respond to our questions.

How is a quotation produced for a dealership like ours?

Scope is read first, and then the screens are demonstrated with your own enquiries and stock. After that each part carries a separate price, so a part can be dropped. Showrooms, users and any maker portal or accounts link are what move the figure.

What happens after I share my requirements?

An engineer reads what you send and replies within one business day. We then look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough. You get a short written summary ordered by priority, with no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. That first review settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.

What happens after you share your requirements

  1. A senior engineer reads your answers. Nobody phones first.
  2. Within one business day you get a written note: what we understood, what we would start with, and the questions we still have.
  3. If it fits, a proposal follows with the order of work, what we need from you and what you receive at each step.
  4. No call is booked and nothing is paid until you have read the note. Your details stay with us.
