Health and wellness · Software for oB-GYN clinics

Follow each pregnancy from booking visit to delivery and each gynae case to its next review.

OB-GYN clinics see antenatal patients on a visit schedule and gynaecology patients for procedures and follow-up. The OB-GYN product keeps the expected delivery date, visit schedule, scans, test results and delivery plan on one private record. Gynaecology cases carry procedures and review dates. Packages, part payments and consultant shares are billed from the same record.

At a glance

Obstetric care runs to a calendar. A booking visit sets an expected delivery date, and scans, tests and check-ups fall on dates counted from it. Gynae cases run on their own review dates and procedure plans.

Many clinics keep these dates in a paper file and a diary. A patient who misses a visit is noticed only when she next appears at the desk.

How the work runs today

The front desk books visits and checks patients in. Nurses record weight, blood pressure and other readings before the doctor sees the patient. The doctor notes findings, orders scans and tests, and sets the next visit from the antenatal schedule, then hands the patient back to the desk to book it.

Scan and laboratory reports arrive from outside centres and are filed to the patient’s record. Near term, the clinic agrees a delivery plan with the patient and with the hospital where she will deliver. Minor procedures are booked at a theatre with a consent form.

Billing covers consultations, maternity packages and procedures. Patients often pay a package in parts.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for oB-GYN clinics without a proper system.

Antenatal visits are missed

The next visit date is written on a card the patient carries. The clinic has no list of who is overdue. Missed visits go unseen.

Reports are scattered

Scan images, blood results and outside notes arrive on paper, by email or by messaging, and the doctor searches through all three while the patient waits in the room.

Delivery plans are not shared

Where the patient will deliver, and under which doctor, is agreed in conversation. The covering doctor on the night may not know. Nobody wrote it down.

Privacy depends on habit

Paper files lie on desks and are read by whoever passes. Access to sensitive records is not limited by role. Privacy rests on habit.

Package balances sit on paper

A maternity package is paid in instalments over several months. Only the person at the counter on the day of each payment knows the balance.

What the software does

What we would build for oB-GYN clinics.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Antenatal booking and visit schedule

Record the booking visit, the expected delivery date and the schedule of visits and scans that follows from it, so the next date is never left to memory.

Visit readings and scan reports

Keep weight, pressure, fundal height and test results by visit, with scan and laboratory reports filed to the record.

Delivery plan and admission details

Note the planned place and mode of delivery, the consultant on call and the admission details for the hospital.

Gynaecology cases and procedures

Follow each case through investigation, procedure, consent and review. The next date stays on the record.

Packages, part payments and consultant share

Bill consultations, maternity packages and procedures, take part payments against each package, and work out every consultant’s share from the cases and collections credited to them.

Postnatal and routine recalls

Patients due a postnatal check, a screening visit or a follow-up are listed so the desk can call them.

Private records by role

Limit who opens clinical notes and reports. The front desk sees schedules and balances, while doctors and nurses see the chart and every report filed to it.

Common questions

Questions oB-GYN clinics ask before they call.

Does it calculate the expected delivery date?

It can propose a date from the last menstrual period or an early scan, and the doctor confirms or changes it. The method used is settled with your doctors.

Can records be limited to certain staff?

Yes. Each role opens only its own screens: the front desk sees schedules and balances, and clinical notes stay with doctors and nurses.

Does it connect to the hospital where our patients deliver?

Not by a live link as standard. Print the delivery plan and summary, or send both on to the hospital. A direct integration would be quoted on its own.

Can it hold gynaecology patients with no pregnancy?

Yes. They have cases, procedures and review dates on the same record, without an antenatal schedule.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
