Curtain measurements are on a paper slip and the tailor stitched the wrong length.

Home furnishing stores sell fabric by the metre, blinds by the square foot and made-to-measure curtains that pass through a measurer, a tailor and a fitter before anyone gets paid. GullySystem builds a system that turns the measurement sheet into a quotation, a stitching order and a fitting job, with the fabric stock and payments tracked alongside. The free technology audit begins with your order book.

At a glance

A curtain order is not a sale at the counter. It is a site visit, a measurement, a quotation, a tailoring job and an installation, often a month apart.

We build software that follows each window from measurement to fitting, so the counter, the tailoring unit and the fitters work from the same sheet.

How the work runs today

A customer picks fabric from sample books and asks for a quote. Your measurer visits, notes each window’s width, drop, track type and pleat style on a slip, and the counter works out metres, lining, tracks and stitching charges. Blinds, sofa fabric, wallpaper and mattresses each have their own way of pricing.

Fabric is ordered from the distributor by shade and design number, cut for the tailor and sent out with a job slip. The fitter installs rods and hangs curtains on a date promised by phone. Advance and balance payments are noted in a book, while the tailor’s bill and the fitter’s charges are settled weekly in cash.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for home furnishing stores without a proper system.

The curtain came short by six inches

Measurements were copied from a slip to a job card by hand, and the drop for the bedroom window was misread.

Fabric orders from the distributor get mixed up

Design numbers look alike, the wrong shade arrives, and the customer has already paid the advance.

We don’t know which jobs are stuck with the tailor

Twenty orders are out for stitching and the only status is a phone call to the tailoring unit.

Balance payments are forgotten after fitting

The fitter hangs the curtains, the customer says they will pay tomorrow, and nobody follows up.

What the software does

What we would build for home furnishing stores.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Window-wise measurement sheet

Room, width, drop, track, pleat and lining for each window, captured on a phone during the site visit.

Quotation with fabric calculation

Metres of fabric and lining worked out from the measurements, with tracks, stitching and fitting charges added.

Fabric orders by design number

Orders to distributors with design, shade and metres, checked against what arrives.

Stitching and fitting jobs

Job cards for the tailor and fitter, with due dates and status, and their charges recorded per job.

Advance and balance tracker

Every order’s advance, balance and payment reminders, with a GST invoice when the job closes.

Ready products

Ready products that fit home furnishing stores.

Each one is adapted to how your business works before it goes live, and anything your trade needs that it lacks is added then. You are not paying to build the basics again.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions home furnishing stores ask before they call.

Will our accountant still use Tally?

Yes. Invoices and receipts can flow into Tally, so the books and GST filing stay the same.

Is a normal retail billing app enough for us?

For ready-made items like cushions, towels and mattresses, a good billing app is fine. Made-to-measure curtains and blinds are where it falls short, because it has no idea what a window is.

Is there a ready product we can start from?

Yes, our furniture showroom management software. It already handles the catalogue with fabric options, custom orders, advance and balance, and delivery and fitting dates. We adapt it and add the window-wise measurement sheet.

Can the measurer use it on a phone?

That is where we start. The measurement sheet is built for a phone screen at the customer’s window, not for the counter.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
