GullySystem
Retail and distribution · Software for paint dealers

The painter wants the same shade again, and nobody saved the tinting formula.

Paint dealers mix colours on a tinting machine and sell to painters on credit, but the shade formula, the painter and the site are rarely saved with the bill. GullySystem builds a system that keeps each tint against the customer and site, tracks painter credit and points, and gives the homeowner a site-wise statement. The free technology audit starts at your tinting counter.

At a glance

Most of your walk-ins are painters, not homeowners. Keep the painter happy and the homeowner comes back through them.

We build software around the tinting counter and the painter’s ledger, the two places paint dealers lose track most often.

How the work runs today

A painter arrives with a shade card number from the homeowner and asks for twenty litres of interior emulsion. Your counter looks up the shade on the tinting machine, dispenses the colorants into the base, and bills the tinted cans plus putty, primer and rollers. A week later the painter needs four more litres of the same shade for touch-up.

Painters buy on credit and bring homeowners in for their commission. Paint companies run loyalty programmes and quarterly volume schemes, each with its own portal and claim format. Stock sits in the shop and a small godown, with bases by pack size and colorants tracked by the machine and rarely by anyone else.

Where it breaks

What goes wrong for paint dealers without a proper system.

Repeat tints never match

The formula was on the machine’s screen that day, not saved against the customer or site.

Painter credit runs away

Each painter takes material for three sites, and the balance is written on a slip in the drawer.

The homeowner doubts the painter’s bill

The owner asks how many litres went into the flat, and the answer is spread across a dozen bills in the painter’s name.

Base and colorant stock is off

Bases by pack size and colorant levels are counted rarely, so a popular base runs out on a Saturday.

What the software does

What we would build for paint dealers.

Named the way your team already talks about the work. We start with whichever part the audit shows is costing you most.

Tint record per customer and site

Shade code, base, pack size and formula saved against each bill, found again in seconds.

Painter ledger

Credit given per painter and site, payments received, and the balance before each new sale.

Painter points and commission

Points earned on each painter’s purchases, including homeowner bills he brought in, and the gifts or cash he has redeemed.

Site-wise material statement

Every tin, bag of putty and roller billed against a site, printed as one statement for the homeowner or contractor.

Stock by base and pack size

Bases, colorants, putty and sundries with reorder levels.

How it works

How the work runs from Bengaluru for your city.

  1. 01

    The audit, by call

A screen-share and a look at the sheets, Tally reports and WhatsApp groups your team uses. No travel needed.

  2. 02

    A written proposal

Scope, what we build first and the cost, agreed in writing before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Build in short rounds

Working screens shared every few weeks. Your team tests them from your own office.

  4. 04

Go-live, in person when it helps

For data migration and training we can come to your city. Travel is agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Support online

Fixes, changes and hosting handled remotely by the same team that built it.

Common questions

Questions paint dealers ask before they call.

Do our Tally books change?

No. Bills and payments can be posted to Tally, and the tint records and painter ledger live alongside.

Can it read from our tinting machine?

It depends on the machine and its software. Some export formulas we can pick up; otherwise the counter records the shade code and formula at billing, which takes seconds.

Is this worth it for one shop?

If you have a steady group of painters on credit, yes. If most customers pay cash and you have one counter, a good billing app may be all you need.

Can painters check their own balance and points?

Yes, through a WhatsApp message or a simple link, which cuts down the phone calls.

What happens in the free technology audit?

We look at the software, spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups your business runs on today and write down what works, what slows your team down and what is missing. A demo login, a screen-share or a few screenshots are enough to start. You get a report ordered by priority, and there is no obligation to hire us afterwards.

How much will the software cost?

We don’t publish a price, because it depends on what the system has to do. The audit settles the scope, and the cost goes into a written proposal before any work starts.
